Friday update...the races are on! The fertilizer will be delivered today and we will spread it at 7am Saturday. We will then set the courses at 7:30 and apply more fertilizer if needed. The race schedule is below.
We are looking for volunteers to help us spread the chemicals. Come on out around 7am-all welcome!!!
The banquet is on for sure. Come and join the fun. There will be great Chinese and Silent Auctions. There will also be trophies and awards for many of the athletes and a special gift for each athlete in attendance. Reservations have been guaranteed with Boyne so race or no race we will be celebrating another wonderful season of ski racing on Saturday night.
We have been talking to Boyne about the quantity and quality of the snow. Even with the warm weather and rain there is still plenty of snow to set gates. The main issue will be how the courses will hold up. We are planning on using chemicals, however running the races as planned will depend on our ability to obtain the quantity of chemicals needed (1 ton) in time. We will know tomorrow if we will be able to obtain the chemicals in order to run the races as planned.
